Are You A Human Experiment?

From the actor and activist Sean Penn comes the movie: The Human Experiment. This film is addressing what I talk about each and every day (with my clients, brands, and, well for those of you who know me, anyone who will listen!) we are being barraged and polluted incessantly by unseen chemicals tha

One Bad Apple…

What started with Adam and Eve and the legendary forbidden fruit that Eve ate – the apple is now at the center of another epic moment for human history with the USDA’s deregulation of a genetically engineered apple. The iconic apple is being forever altered with a genetic engineering process kn

Spicy Butternut Squash Soup

This is one of my favorite winter soups. It’s just so hearty! Fills you up and feels like a really satisfying meal.  If you want to boost the protein you can also add sprouted lentils to the sunflower seeds.  The soup base stands so you should have fun with the toppings to your liking.  Ingred

Giving Thanks To Those Born To Give

From about as long as I can remember Thanksgiving in my family has really been about food first and foremost.  Of course immediately followed by family.  (If not for family, both real and adopted, who would all that food be for anyway?!) Then, not exactly as an afterthought, we would give thanks.

Roasted Broccoli

I know, not everyone loves Broccoli as much as we do.  But I firmly believe that is because they haven’t had my roasted Broccoli.  Until now!  The entire secret to cooking vegetables well is not to overcook them.  I swear!  It’s really that simple.  Even if you don’t believe me yet,

Mango Ice (Or Call It Sorbet)

Although I realize sorbet may be far more dignified, that fact is in our house we like to call it Mango Ice. This recipe couldn't be easier.  I never measure I just add and blend.  I use a vitamix but a powerful blender will work too.  If you can make a margarita in it, you can make this dessert
